Palliative Home Care

Hospice care philosophy

Palliative care is a special and personalized approach.

We aim to provide patients with relief from the symptoms and pain, and physical and mental stress of terminal illness.

Our experienced nurse develops a Care Plan on a case-by-case basis.

She focuses on your loved one’s physical, psychological and spiritual needs.

Our goal is to maintain or improve quality of life.

Our nurse guides our caregivers who are trained in the hospice palliative care philosophy.

Caregiver matching

Matching your loved one’s personality with a caregiver’s style and experience is crucial to maintaining consistency and trust.

Family matters

Our Care Plan considers the needs of the patient’s family members throughout the course of illness and afterwards.

This involves providing emotional support, respite for family caregivers, companionship, and personal care.

We work closely with other members of your healthcare team.

If requested, we will also advocate on your behalf when needed.

Supplementary care

Arcadia Home Care can also supplement the care provided by your palliative and/or hospice health team.

Main Areas of Service

Palliative Home Care

“Arcadia Home Care provided home care service for a dear friend dying of cancer. Rohit personally ensured that he provided staff who would work well in our specific situation. He showed professionalism, attention, empathy, kindness and was a font of knowledge as we navigated through the Canadian health care system. Rohit and his staff were invaluable.” — Nadia
